Tier III: Small group or individualized instruction
Individualized or small group intervention for 15 minutes or more daily. For use with students not making adequate progress with Tier II interventions. Includes use of planning at the red step in RtI. Additional progress monitoring occurs at least twice per week.
Tier II: Small group instruction
Small group supplemental intervention for 10 minutes or more daily for those students not meeting progress monitored benchmarks. Includes use of planning at the yellow step in RtI. Additional progress monitoring occurs at least once per week.
Tier I: Whole Class Differentiated Instruction:
Core instruction that is school-wide and based upon Ohio State content standards. Utilizes common assessments and universal screenings to help students meet progress-monitored benchmarks. This level includes whole-class interventions such as a class-wide behavior level system or PALS partner reading at each child's individual instructional level.
